FLEX Alumni

The FLEX Program does not end with the end of the academic year, but continues after the students return home! They come back full of enthusiasm and inspired by new ideas. Although many focus their attention on completing their studies, they manage to take the time to get actively involved as graduates. The experiences lived and the process of self-knowledge during the FLEX year are combined with a new appreciation and dedication to their countries of origin.

Launched in 1993, the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program has provided scholarships to more than 30,000 high school students in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

FLEX graduates are part of a strong international network, supported by the FLEX Alumni community, which provides grants and professional development opportunities. Today, they work in various fields, including government, business, nonprofits, education, and journalism.

In Romania, the community has over 200 FLEX graduates, part of the global network of the Future Leaders Exchange Program.
