Equivalence of studies

Under current legislation, there is the possibility of equivalence of the year of high school completed in the United States. For the equivalence of the period of study promoted through FLEX, scholarship holders must apply to the County School Inspectorate / School Inspectorate of the Municipality of Bucharest to which the educational establishment to which they are enrolled belongs. The procedures depend on each individual case. Students applying for FLEX and their families must understand that FLEX is a cultural exchange. The priority of FLEX is not the equivalence of studies upon return to Romania, but to offer a complex cultural experience.

Each applicant has a duty to inform themselves about the recognition and equivalence procedures. The FLEX team only provides information material, which is strictly for guidance. We do not assume responsibility for these procedures.

The National Centre for the Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) applies recognition and equivalence procedures only for high school graduation diplomas. For further information, please contact CNRED - www.cnred.edu.ro .
